BIO
The most important thing when working on your music is freedom. Freedom to be creative, be spontaneous and be yourself. This doesn’t happen as much as it should in recording studios, where you’d usually just do your allotted hours and then leave. That's on top of possibly feeling overwhelmed by a big studio with a strict schedule. Well it works differently here.
SHED studios provide a relaxed environment at unbelievably low prices (from £18 p/h). Our songs have been played around the world, including being playlisted on big stations like BBC Radio, RTÉ Radio (the biggest station in Ireland) and many more. What worked for one singer might not work for another. No one person is the same and so we believe in bespoke ways of doing the whole recording process. You may just want to record a cover song, write a song from scratch or record an acoustic video. Some people book for just 1 hour, some for 1 week - whatever works best for you and YOUR creativity! There are no limits here. We're even offering a remote online recording service.
We create an environment where ‘mistakes' are fine (and sometimes better!) This isn’t about doing your few hours and leaving. We believe in working alongside musicians and so, if wanted, we can build the songs together. Chipping in ideas etc along the way. That said, many people love to come even just for an acoustic video, due to the rustic and unique decor. Having worked as a music director/session musician on massive pop tours (including stadium shows in Japan, arena's in the UK etc), producer kommy knows what it takes for a song to pop.

PRICING
- Online Remote Recording -
£20 per hour. Producer kommy will create your song - whilst you can watch, listen and talk via a high quality live streaming system. Perfect for making music during the coronavirus outbreak!
- Studio & Producer Hire -
£24 per hour. Producer kommy will sit with you at SHED studios to work on whatever you desire. Whether that be song-writing, recording your song from scratch, voiceover work etc.
- Studio Hire -
£20 per hour. Have full use of SHED studios to yourself, will include a briefing on how the gear works etc. Must bring own pc.
- Acoustic Song Recording -
£65 Recording takes upto 2 hours. Mixing/Mastering included (another 2 hours). Add £20 to include basic video like examples.
- Backing Track Song Recording -
£65 Recording takes upto 2 hours. Mixing/Mastering included (another 2 hours). Add £20 to include basic video like examples.
- Mixing -
£50 vocal mix. Get your vocals ready for radio!
£100 mini mix. For songs with less than 10 tracks.
£220 song mix. Get your whole song ready for radio!
£15 per stem. Just want one or two bits of audio mixing?
- Mastering -
£40 Happy with your mix? Now it's time to glue it together.
- Live Band Recording -
£125 for 1 song. Add £40 per additional song.
Mixing/Mastering included (takes 4 hours). Recorded at a venue/rehearsal room of your choice. Each instrument/vocal recorded separately just like a studio recording. Recording gear/mics provided by SHED studios. Add £20 per song to include basic video. Pro video £95 for 1 song, £35 per additional song.
- Full Song Production -
£95 - £345 Producer kommy will create your song. This includes guitar tracks, piano, drums...everything you want/need! Incluces mixing/mastering. Includes a free consultation. Prices vary depending on the depth of track. Custom acoustic track = £95 and increase upto a Full production = £345. Vocal recordings extra.

The Studio
Based in Stockport, Greater Manchester (just a 2 minute walk from Brinnington train station or 10 minutes from Stockport station). A purpose built, fully equipped & soundproofed 14x8 cabin recording studio.

The Producer
kommy has had writing & production sessions at some of the uk's biggest studios, including Tileyard (who've housed Ella Eyre, Sigala), 123 Studios (housed Clean Bandit, Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran), Chapel Studios (housed Sting, Britney Spears, Eric Clapton), Edge Studios (housed Plan B, The Script, 5SOS) and Blueprint (housed RIhanna, 1D).
Songs he's written/produced have been played on BBC Radio 6, RTE Radio 1 (biggest station in Ireland), Imagine FM, Amazing Radio and many more.
Alongside producing, kommy is a high profile touring musician. As a musical director & guitarist. he's played massive shows all over the world (Ajinomoto Stadium: 60,000 people in Japan, Manchester Arena, Torwar Hall: 10,000 in Poland, 02 Apollo etc), He's toured with BGT stars Bars & Melody, Modest! management (who manage Little Mix, Olly Murs) artist New Rules and many more!
